bujinkan budo taijutsu
At the Bujinkan Toku Ryu Sui Aoyama Dojo we train in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu as taught by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, Soke (Head of the Family) and founder of the Bujinkan Dojo. The training in the Bujinkan is for complete self-development. It stems from the historical kata of the nine ryuha (lineages) of the Bujinkan Dojo.
The following are areas of study at the Bujinkan Toku Ryu Sui Aoyama Dojo:
Taihenjutsu - Body changing (Rolling, leaping, breakfalls, escaping etc.)
Dakentaijutsu - Precise Movement (Striking)
Kosshijutsu - Small changes (Muscle and Nerve attacking)
Koppojutsu - Structure (Bone attacks)
Jutaijutsu - Flexibility (Throws, joint locks, grappling, etc.)
Buki Waza - Weapons (Sticks, bladed, chain, throwing, firearms, etc.)
characteristics of our art and Dojo's training
We study the nine Ryu Ha (Lineages) of the Bujinkan Dojo
We take the historical Kata and apply them to modern day situations for complete self protection.
We study the Gogyo no Kata and Kihon Happo as the foundation of our training.
Taijutsu translates to techniques of the body.
We utilize the body as the weapon and fight with "tools" (weapons) using our Taijutsu.
The art lives through Henka (changes) of the space.
